If you are raising a child with attachment disorder issues (or know someone who is), you have come to the right place!
Michele K. Nigliazzo, Esq.
Attorney, Mom, Parent Advocate
At the Nigliazzo Advocacy Center, LLC, we know that your days are long and your nights can be even longer. We want to help. We can help. And, we hope you will let us.
To introduce you to our site, we have several areas which will help you. The purpose of the advocacy center, founded by mom and attorney, Michele K. Nigliazzo, Esq., is to help parents transcend from the trauma-victim state that invades your life as soon as you begin to witness the manifestations of your child's trauma in your home.
You, like many of us, probably thought you could handle this at some point. Like the rest of the world, you probably thought you'd be a "good parent." If someone warned you about attachment disorder and complex trauma, you likely felt it wouldn't apply to you, because you had experience. You were smart. You were not only good, you were a "great parent." At least you thought so.
Then, when trauma hit, not only did your home life become chaotic, but your belief in yourself plummeted as well. You lost your sense of self, your sense of competence. At the same time, your child began to show needs far beyond what you could handle on your own.
However, when you reached out for help, it became immediately apparent that no one else knew what to do either. Suggestions of sticker charts, rewards systems, and other helpful advice only confirmed that you were, in fact, alone.
Not anymore, my friend. Join us at the Nigliazzo Advocacy Center. We know the road you are walking. We are on the journey with you.
And, if we can give some quick initial help, we want you to know that you still are that competent, educated person. You are still a good parent. You are just a good parent in trauma. At the Nigliazzo Advocacy Center, we believe that if we can help you come out of the trauma and regain control of your life, you will find your strength - your power - and be able to help your child so much more.
Everyone will tell you your child is precious and needs help. You know that. What we want to tell you is that, as a parent on the front lines, you are precious, too. You need help, support, and strength for this journey. There are many others who understand.
Please take a moment to check out our site. We have lots of information for you. And, for the greatest renewal of all - for the quick "pick me up," please consider joining us in Branson, Missouri for one of our life changing retreats.
